Maisie Williams may have just revealed that one of the core characters won't be in "Game of Thrones" Season 8 alive. Williams, who plays Arya Stark in the series, revealed during a panel that Sophie Turner's Sansa Stark is already dead.

According to a report from ComicBook, Williams revealed about Sansa's fate during the "Game of Thrones" panel at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. Williams was answering a question from one of the audiences on why Turner's hair is blonde instead of her usual red hair on HBO's original series.

Williams responded with "she's dead," which got the entire panel silent. The report said that it' not yet sure if Williams was joking or was she telling the truth.

If it was the truth, this isn't the first time that the series had one of its casts reveal spoilers about the show. It has been a tradition for "Game of Thrones" to have actors reveal major spoilers about the show. The report said that Ian McShane, who portrays Septon Ray in the show, was the one who revealed some spoilers the last time.

There's a big possibility that Williams is only joking, considering that during the 2017 British Academy Film Awards, Turner inadvertently said she'll be returning to film "Game of Thrones" Season 8 after filming the "X-Men" movie.

At that time, Turner said they just finished shooting season 7 of the hit series and will move on to a couple more movies before doing "X-Men." She then said that it's "on to season 8" after, which indicates that she's still part of the show.

She didn't reveal, though, what her character will be doing in season 7, but her statement somehow confirmed she'll be in season 8. But after Williams' comment, whether true or not, it's possible that Turner's role in season 8 would be just flashbacks.

Fans though will soon find out when "Game of Thrones" Season 7 premieres on July 16. Check out the teaser trailer for HBO's original hit series in the video below.
