Christine Adams was cast as the Agent Anne Weaver, the head of the Science and Technology division of S.H.I.E.L.D in "Agents of SHIELD." She last appeared during Season 2 of the series, but recent reports say she is now going to be a part of the CW's DC drama "Black Lightning."

We all know that the TV series for the first major African American superhero is already in development, and Cress Williams will play Jefferson Pierce aka Black Lightning. Deadline reported that Adams has been cast as Lynn Stewart, Jefferson's ex-wife.

ComicBook said that Adam's character exudes confidence and intelligence, but she also has a mischievous side. When it comes to family, she's not the one to be trifled with. Adams is not new to having roles in the superhero genre because aside from her experience in "Agents of SHIELD," she also played William Earle's in "Batman Begins."

Other series that she has appeared in are "Terra Nova" and her most recent appearance is in "Feed the Beast" where she was got a regular role. Adams also appeared in "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" and "Tron: Legacy."

Other casts of "Black Lightning" include Nafessa Williams and China Anne McClain who will play Jefferson's daughters. In the DC comics, Jefferson's daughters also became superheroes. Black Lightning hung up his suit and his secret identity years ago, but his daughters are the reason why he is pulled back to fight as a wanted vigilante.

McCain will play Jennifer, the teenage scholar-athlete daughter of Jefferson, while her sister Anissa - the twenty-something daughter who is trying to balance being in medical school and her part-time job at her father's school.

"Black Lightning" is written by Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil who also serve as the executive producers along with Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, alongside Warner Bros. Television.
