The newest band to join the ranks of cruising is Alabama. USA Today reported that the country music band will hit the seas for the first time later this year in the Alabama & Friends Festival at Sea.

The Music cruise is being put on by cruise organizer Sixthman and the group will headline a four-night cruise that is leaving from Miami on Oct. 24.

The cruise is occurring on Norwegian Cruise Lines, Norwegian Pearl and will stop in Nassau Bahamas and Great Stirrup Cay.

The group says on the cruise website that it's the 40th anniversary of their first show at the Bowery in Myrtle Beach and they will be "celebrating this milestone in style!"

The trip will sail from Oct. 24-28 and will include dozens of other musical guests as well as themed nights. The cruise's website says, "You'll also get a chance to participate in quirky theme nights and one-of-a-kind artist collaborations that just don't exist on land. We'll even have our own private beach party on Great Stirrup Cay."

The Norwegian Pearl has state of the art amenities including a pool, hot tubs, bars, award winning spa and multiple stages as well as a casino and high-end restaurants.

"I'm looking forward to enjoying my very first cruise!" founding Alabama member Teddy Gentry says in a statement accompanying the announcement reported USA Today. "We have some exciting things in-store for the fans and look forward to making this a lifetime memory for everyone onboard."
