"The Circle" is Tom Hanks and Emma Stone's film that tells about the good and the bad things about the Internet. It is about losing one's freedom and privacy even inside the home. It also tells the effects of social media. It tells about the perils of social media and the Internet as they affect the day to day lives of the netizens.

Emma Watson plays the role of Mae Holland, a young woman who loves the digital world of the Internet. She was attracted to a company and was amazed at how opulent the company is. The company is one of the biggest when it comes to technology. She was later discipled by Hanks to give up her privacy for the project. And the rest was a nightmare.

She was assigned to work on a major project of the company but later discovered that it was purposed to create destruction to the world. Tom Hanks plays Bailey who is like a Mark Zuckerberg or Steve Jobs that have the ability to manipulate everything on the Internet.

Director James Ponsoldt tells that Mae Holland represents the Internet users. Because they are hooked to the Internet, Hanks will use their gullibility to introduce his knowledge. At the same he earns millions. However, later Holland found out that they have nowhere to hide as everywhere they go they are monitored and seen.

 Inquisitr reported that the EuropaCorp film also tells how people lose their privacy without them knowing it. They are unaware that they are being monitored. Later, Mae Holland discovers that her friends and her family are the very targets of the surveillance. How Holland was able to control the situation is the twist of the story.

"The Circle" was financed by Image Nation Abu Dhabi and is presented by Image Nation with Parkes MacDonald Production according to Deadline. It will be released on April 28, 2017.
