Oscars 2017 Best Supporting actor Mahershala Ali is extra lucky this week. His movie "Moonlight" was judged as the Best Picture. His personal win as the Best Supporting Actor and coupled with the birth of his daughter, he is very full.

The Oscars which was held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles was filled with the Hollywood A-listers expectant and excited to know this year's awardees.

One of them is Mahershala Ali according to Hello Magazine, in his acceptance speech he thanked the people who mentored him. He also thanked his wife who was not with him as she had delivered their baby four days ago. He and his wife Amatus Sami-Krim, a singer named their baby daughter Bari (Ba-ree).

Before the show, Ryan Seacrest asked him how he feels about his nomination and his new baby. He said that he is quite tired but felt an amazing experience. Ali said that his daughter was way beyond the delivery due date and the couple got concerned. But they are thankful that she is safe and healthy. His wife has walked the red carpet at the Golden Globes 2017 in January.

Mahershala Ali announced on Instagram the birth of his baby girl. He received two trophies this week; one as a good actor and one as a good man, husband, and father.

According to Us Weekly, the father of one has been into huge movies like "Hunger Games" and "House of Cards." But in "Moonlight" his acting was recognized. He is one of the actors in Hollywood with the longest name. Mahershala is his nickname as his real name is Mahershalalhashbaz Gilmore.

Oscars 2017 Best Supporting Actor Mahershala Ali has been an actor since his college days and had his breakout role in "House of Cards." He appeared in a movie opposite Brad Pitt in 2008 titled "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."
