The critically acclaimed biography series, "The Crown" hit the Netfix last November 2016 and since the drama series took the world by storm. It garnered a lot of positive reception where Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 90% approval and other award giving bodies recognizing them. With Season 2 on the works, fans are patiently waiting for information regarding the next chapter of the life of Queen Elizabeth II.

According to Express, the upcoming season will cover the life of Queen Elizabeth II between 1955 where the first season ended to 1964 where a riot break out during her tour in Quebec. The series will also portray the queen and how she tackled the 1956 Suez Crisis and the wedding of her sister. The historical visit of former President John F. Kennedy to the Buckingham Palace will also be covered in Season 2.

The Season 2 of the Golden Globe winning series, have already started even before the first season premiered. Claire Foy, who acquired multiple awards for as Queen Elizabeth II, claimed that the move made them feel uneasy because if the fans didn't like the show they will have to continue filming nonetheless. The good thing is that 'The Crown' received positive responses which motivates them to aim and perform better.

As for the casts, Foy and Matt Smith will return in Season 2 to reprise their roles as Queen and Prince Phillip respectively. However, as the story progresses, they will be recast to take in consideration the progressive age of the characters during the events it was based on as reported by Pop Sugar. Among the other returning casts are Jeremy Northam as Anthony Eden, Victoria Hamilton to play as the Queen Mother and Vanessa Kirby reprise her role as Princess Margaret.

Guest stars will also make an appearance in Season 2 such as Michael C. Hall, to play the US President John F. Kennedy. He will joined by 'Quarry' star Jodi Balfour, as his confident and charming spouse, Jackie Kennedy. There is no official air date for the series yet but it will be sometime on November of this year.
