"The Resident" is coming off for the Fox medical drama pilot episode and it is set to star "The Good Wife" and "Gilmore Girls" actor Matt Czuchry. This was written by Amy Holden Jones, Hayley Schore and Roshan Sethi and is also directed by Philip Noyce and produced by Antoine Fuqua.

"The Resident" is a series which focused on Devon Pravesh, who is an idealistic doctor who began his first day under the supervision of a threatening and brilliant cocky senior resident, Conrad Hawkins which will be played by Czuchry. The series will feature scenes whether or not lives will be saved or lost but somehow, there will be expectations that will be devastated. Meanwhile, Greenwood will also play as the Chief of Surgery as known to be Dr. Soloman Bell, Deadline reported.

Czuchry on the other hand, will star opposite to Manish Dayal in this series. He has been known also as the "Cary Agos" in the CBS's "The Good Wife" and the Rory's boyfriend on "GILMORE GIRLS" and yet, he is now heading to Fox for this show, Broadway World reported.

He also had made some role reprising from the cult WB/CW dramedy in the Netflix revival, "A Year in Life", and he also made stint on "Friday Night Lights" as repped by Gersh and Thruline Entertainment.

The Lotan Huntzberg from other TV series is now going to be a doctor in "The Resident". He will be portraying a role of a doctor who will pull the curtain back on all of the good and bad in the contemporary day of medicine.

All of these things should sound good for Czuchry, however; there is one question left for the past series he left, what does this mean for the future of the "Gilmore Girls? This is something fans should watch out for as Czuchry dig deeper into his new role on Fox.
