Time travel has always been a pretty interesting concept, and TV show producers have been using it as a basis for many of their shows. So it should come as no surprise that the TV series "Time After Time" is the sixth current show that has a time travel element.

According to executive producer Kevin Williamson this will actually make things much easier for everyone involved with the ABC drama. His reason being most viewers are already familiar with the kind of effect time ripples have on a story.

"Every time travel show sets their own rules, their little Wiggums. But I feel like we've covered our rules for the show, and we don't really break them in season 1. And moving forward, we have a plan for season 2 that would spin it in a new direction", says Williamson.

"Time After Time" is based on the Karl Alexander novel and 1979 film of the same name. It focuses on the story of H.G. Wells (Freddie Stroma) who invents a time machine to travel to present day New York in pursuit of the legendary serial killer, Jack the Ripper (Josh Bowman). Once Wells arrives in modern day Manhattan, he encounters a world unlike anything he has ever dreamed of before, and Jane (Genesis Rodriguez), a young museum curator who captivates him. The series will premiere on March 5 and feature back-to-back episodes.

"Time After Time" was picked up by ABC from Warner Bros. just a year after it cancelled the show "Forever", another series with time travel elements, according to an earlier report by Deadline. ABC has also released several promotional photos of the show's first two episodes. SpoilerTV has posted dozens of these photos on their website as well as the synopses of episodes 1 (Pilot) and 2 (I Will Catch You).
