"Dancing with the Stars" season 24 is about to get even better as Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskly announced that they would be returning to the show. The couple welcomed their son, Shai, in January, and announced their return to the show on Tuesday.

The sensational dance pros will rejoin the cast of ABC's hit dance competition series and will become rivals once again. In an interview with Good Morning America, Peta says she is a bit nervous, but excited to come back to the show.

"I've definitely missed the dance floor. I haven't been able to defend my title with Nyle", said Peta. Maks, on the other hand, is not too worried about the possibility of getting outperformed by his fiancé. "Last time we were together on the same show, I won", said Maks. However, he would also mention that it would be really difficult to be away from his young son once practice goes into full swing. The couple have had a friendly rivalry with one another on the dance floor for years.

"This is the only difficult part about coming back on the show because it will just take time away from this dude", Maks admitted. His wife Peta has also been doing her best to get back into dancing shape now that she has finally given birth. While she understands that it will be difficult for her to get back into shape post-birth, she says she will be taking it slowly and she's confident because she has "an awesome partner to go through this with."

Murgatroyd, 30, and Chmerkovskly, 37, both opened up being parents for the first time during their interview on Good Morning America which aired last week. According to Peta, Maks has changed ever since becoming a father. "I think he's just more serene, more calm. He's a dad now", said Peta. According to Entertainment Tonight, the couple is not expecting any help from uncle, Val Chmerkovskly, in taking care of the baby.
