There is another way to evolve Eevee into Espeon and Umbreon in "Pokemon Go." Here is our latest guide on how you can do trick in a different way.

During the recent launch of the "Pokemon Go" Jotho, one of the first Easter eggs that players discovered last week was the ability to give an Eevee the nickname Sakura to make it evolve into Espeon. In addition, Eevee was discovered to have a nickname Tamao and can evolve into Umbreon.

The trick that has become so popular unfortunately works only once. However, the detectives at "Pokemon Go" Hub have discovered that there is another way to ensure your Eevee evolves into one of the new forms. The "Pokemon Go" Hub, after conducting tedious research over the past days has now determined that there are criteria that must be met to ensure that Eevee evolves into either Espeon or Umbreon.

According to the "Pokemon Go" Hub, you need to walk 10km and collect 2 candies with the Eevee you want to evolve as your Buddy. Make sure that the Eevee you want to evolve must be set as your current Buddy during evolution. In addition, players must take note that evolving the Eevee during the day will turn it into an Espeon. On the other hand, evolving the Eevee at night will transform it into an Umbreon.

Niantic, to test their hypothesis, added friendship to the game in the latest update. The "Pokemon Go" Hub place 27 different Eevees through their paces using an assortment of variables to determine if it was possible that Eevee would evolve into either Espeon or Umbreon.

When the Eevees were walked 10km with a trainer but were not set as the Buddy at the time of evolution, "Pokemon Go" Hub got Flareons, Jolteons and Vaporeons. The same happened when they walked 10km with Eevee as their buddy, but were not given 2 pieces of candy along the way, reported BGR.
