Superbowl LI will forever go down in the record books as perhaps the most memorable Superbowl in history after the New England Patriots fought all the way back from a 25-point deficit to beat the Atlanta Falcons. The win gave Tom Brady his fifth Superbowl title and fourth MVP trophy. It also concluded the single greatest comeback in Superbowl history. Now it is being reported that this story, and the controversy surrounding the infamous "Deflategate" scandal are going to be made into a movie.

According to a report from Deadline, the story will be made in to a book which will then be spun as a live-action adaptation. Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson have been chosen to write the script for the upcoming Tom Brady movie along with author Casey Sherman. Tamasy and Johnson received Oscar nominations for their work in "The Fighter." Joining them will be Boston-based journalist Dave Wedge.

The writers have already spoken with several sources inside the Patriots locker room to provide everyone with a "first-hand look at what went on behind the scenes in a Superbowl that had everyone on the edge of their seats", Deadline reports. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Wedge revealed what he and his team are looking for when searching for stories.

"When we're looking for stories, we're looking for universal themes of overcoming odds and people using moments of adversity to inspire. The game that we saw a couple of weeks ago really encapsulates who that guy is...it's made for a movie," said Wedge.

There is still no word yet on who will be chosen to portray Tom Brady or any of the central figures in the story. For now, the project is still in a very early stage. Both the Deflategate scandal and the unbelievable Superbowl come back make for some very intriguing stories, so it was only a matter of time before a book and movie about them would be announced.
