Netflix has recently confirmed that the award-winning royal drama, "The Crown" season 2 will be returning soon and which will cover the periods between 1955 and 1964. It has been said that Claire Foy and Matt Smith are now filming the ten new episodes for the series however; both will also depart for the end of the season.

According to the show's creator, Peter Morgan, he has revealed that the Queen, together with Prince Philip and other royals will be recast in order to account for the characters that had been advancing ages. However, despite the rumors of the coming of the second season, Netflix hasn't announce yet as to when this season will be released however; it is thought to arrive by November this year, Express reported.

Further, "The Crown" season 2 is also said to be expanding their cast and will be adding new faces for the next season. Michael Hall and Jodi Balfour are among the expected characters which will be seen on the forthcoming series. Moreover, the next season will feature England which will be fighting for an illegal war in Egypt and to go see the Prime Minister Harold Macmillan resign after the scandal, Den of Geek reported.

Apparently, season 2 will have lots of dramas to cover. As they move forward with the story, they were also planning to follow the life of Queen Elizabeth II from then up to the present day. They were really ambitious of planning to feature six decades in their six seasons.

Even though there will be characters which will be replaced in season 2, it will be expected that Claire Foy and Matt Smith are coming back the scenes. In addition, Matthew Goode will also be added to the cast as the Antony Armstrong-Jones or better known as Lord Snowdon.
