It looks like the people who write the storylines for "The Simpsons" might be psychics as the show was once again able to predict a significant event. The longest running American animated program has predicted just about everything from the winner of the 2016 Nobel Prize in economics to Donald Trump's presidency. This time they were able to correctly predict Lady Gaga's performing at halftime of the Superbowl.

The pop star recently performed at the Pepsi Halftime Show of Superbowl LI at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. Fans immediately took to Twitter and pointed out some of the similarities between one of her stunts during the performance and an episode of "The Simpsons" that aired in 2012. The episode is titled "Lady Goes Gaga", and the aforementioned singer has a concert in Springfield with a performance that has some eerie similarities to her halftime show at Superbowl LI.

In the episode she can be seen wearing a sparkly, silver outfit and knee-high boots - not like the shimmering bodysuit that she donned for a majority of her performance last Sunday. Just like in her opening halftime act, the "Born This Way" singer flew above the crowd via cables attached to her, leaving her fans looking in awe.

Fans quickly pointed out the similarities between the act on the animated series and the one at halftime of Superbowl LI. Twitter user QUEEN GAGA posted a photo of the two acts side by side, and needless to sa,y the similarities are almost on point. The only difference is the cartoon version of Lady Gaga has flame throwers attached to the chest area of her outfit.

While her halftime performance might have started out a bit aggressively, she toned things down in the middle part and even brought out a piano. She did the same thing in the 2012 episode and even had a quick wardrobe change to go along with it. On Sunday she changed to a football-inspired white top and a pair of silver sequined boy shorts. In the "Simpsons" she also changed her outfit while playing the piano.

According to CBS News, this is not the first time that the "Simpsons" has managed to predict certain events. They also predicted Donald Trump winning the presidency in an episode that aired in 2000 called "Bart to the Future."
