Valentine's Day is fast approaching and there are several exciting reports of what could be Niantic's plans for its upcoming February 14 event. Rumors are pointing to a new "Eeveelution" with Umbreon and Espeon, while new PokéStops and gyms are said to be added as well.

According to the official site of Pokemon, Eevee is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Niantic's "Pokémon Go" franchise. The said character is popularly known as Eievui in Japan and it first appeared in the video games "Pokémon Red and Blue." Eevee has an unstable genetic makeup that suddenly mutates due to its environment. One of the causes that make the said Pokémon species to evolve is the radiation from various stones.

A recent report from Slash Gear states that on its Valentine's Day event "Pokemon Go" will introduce a friendship based evolution. "A couple of the most well-known and long-awaited Pokemon in "Pokemon GO's" Gen 2 collection are created with Friendship," Slashgear states. "Eevee evolves into a bunch of different Pokemon dependent on which Generation game the user is playing. If Gen 2 becomes available, both Espeon and Umbreon are put in play."

On the said report, it suggests that the said Eevee evolutions will be the newest feature of the game. Besides, during the event the said Pokemon species will transform into Umbreon or Espeon using buddy Pokemon 'friendship.'

Another additional game feature of "Pokemon Go" are PokéStops and Gyms. Pokemon Go Hub insists that PokéStops and Gyms have been added to the said mobile app game. According to the report from Daily Star, it states that multiple sources have been confirmed that the said features were added in their local area and some of the PokéStops have been converted to Gyms.
