Electronic Arts have finally confirmed the existence and development of "FIFA 18." Fans can rejoice, especially those who found the story mode "The Journey" as it will be making its return on its Season 2 installment.

Based on a recent report from Seeking Alpha, EA CEO Andrew Wilson said "FIFA 18 will build on the foundation we created with story mode this year, bringing players back to The Journey with Season 2, featuring new characters and new storylines."

Wilson also stated in the earnings result transcript that his team in Vancouver is already hard at work in creating a deeper experience for "FIFA 18." This should include an Ultimate Team and as if "FIFA 17" wasn't immersive enough, the next game is projected as a more connected simulator that was released for all gaming platforms.

As stated at Gamespot, The Journey game mode on "FIFA 17" was well-received that Wilson's claim of "more than 10 million players" easily proves to be true. The Ultimate Team players also steadily increase by 10 percent every year. "FIFA 18" could take advantage of these figures and deliver an even better game.

The question for which futball/soccer game simulator is going to be better now circulates on the internet. There have been tons of comparison between "FIFA 17" and "PES 2017," but the results weren't decisive as both games equally have their strong and weak points. With "FIFA 18" raising the bar, "PES 2018" might need to follow suite as there is no announcement about it yet.

At the moment, there are some rumors regarding "PES 2018" hitting the stores in September this year, but all these speculations are still to be taken with a grain of salt as Konami haven't made any official comments yet. "FIFA 18," on the other hand, is already in the works, but just as the other game, no release date window was given.
