Dermot Mulroney will be joining Idris Elba and Kate Winslet in the romantic drama "Mountains between Us". This film will be directed by Hany Abu-Assad for the Fox 2000 while at the same time Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping will be producing through the Fox-based Chernin Entertainment.

This movie will be based on Charles Martin's 2010 bestselling novel about a surgeon and a woman who has fallen in love after being stranded in the plane crash. They must have to figure out on how they will escape from the mountain wilderness wherein the temperature will drop too low at night. The film will be a tale of survival and of love which will be lead starred by the above-mentioned actors. The characters will also be suffering from broken ribs and fractured leg, Variety reported.

Further, Elba was attached to the "Mountain between Us" over the past years. Chris Weitz, being the writer of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" also penned the most recent draft of the screenplay of this movie. On the other hand, J. Mills and Scott Frank had also written for the earlier scripts of the film.

Meanwhile, Mulroney also recently starred on "Sleepless" as a crime lord opposite Jamie Fox. His other credits also include Ed Gass-Donnelly's "Lavender" together with Abbie Cornish and Justin Long.

He also starred in "Dirty Grandpa" with Zac Efron and Robert De Niro. Other credits also include James Vanderbilt's "Truth" and an opposite to Cate Blanchett and Robert Redford. Lastly, he was also one of those stars in "August: Osage Country" together with Meryll Streep and Julia Roberts, Deadline reported.

Mulroney also had roles with Steve Jobs biopic "Jobs", opposite to Ashton Kutcher; and in the Nicole Kidman-Mia Wasikowska pic "Stoker" and "Zodiac" together with Jake Gyllenhaal. Mulroney was repped by WME and this film is set to hit theaters soon.
