Marvel is bringing the fan-favorite comic book series "Runaways" to streaming service Hulu. The show, which is about a group of teenagers who discover that their parents are a group of supervillains known as "The Pride," is based on a comic created by the award-winning team of Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona. Now Marvel has announced the lead casts of the upcoming series.

According to Hollywood Reporter, "Faking It" actor Gregg Sulkin will be joined by five other up-and-comers. Sulkin will star as Chase Stein, a lacrosse-playing high school heartthrob. A lot of people write him off as a dumb jock, but he shows brilliance in engineering.

Rhenzy Feliz ("Teen Wolf") will be Nico Minoru, a kid who embodies teenage angst. Virginia Gardner ("Goat") will portray Karolina Dean who has a model-perfect exterior, but who is burned by the expectations and responsibilities put upon by her parents, The Wrap said.

Gert Yorkes will be portrayed by Ariela Barer ("One Day at a Time"). She is a purple-haired, bespectacled, contemporary girl who never passes up to stand on a soap box. "100 Things to do Before High School's" Allegra Acosta is Molly Hernandez, the youngest and most innocent member of the group.

The plot of the "Runaways" is based on the fact that a lot of teenagers feel that their parents are "evil," but what if you found out they actually were? These diverse teenagers can barely stand each other, but they must unite against the common foe - their parents.

Co-creator and series executive consultant Vaughn said that he is very excited for fans of the "Runaways" to watch the "perfect cast of amazing actors" who embody the spirit of their characters. Additional casting will be announced soon. The drama is a co-production between Marvel and ABC Signature.
