"So You Think You Can Dance" season 14 was renewed and auditions for the season has already been set including the venue. The show will be co-produced by Allen Shapiro, Barry Adelman, Jeff Thacker along with show creator Nigel Lythgoe.

Season 14 competitors must be 18-30 years old according to Showbiz Junkies. The venue for the auditions will be in New York on March 4-6 and Los Angeles on March 17-19.

Nigel Lythgoe promises that the show will give the fans what they are asking for. He said, "We've decided to go back to basics by bringing the best of our past formats together for an exciting new summer featuring accomplished adult competitors partnered with fan-favorite All-Star dancers. And, of course, as in past seasons, there will be new surprises which are sure to wow our viewers."

Highly-skilled dancers aged 18-30 will present their talents in different dance styles like tap, hip-hop, animation, ballroom, break dancing, contemporary and more. The 10 best dancers will be paired up with All-Stars who will help them compete. Their victory to become America's Favorite Dancer is based on America's votes.

During the audition, a proof of the age of the competitor must be presented. During auditions, the most talented ones will compete before the judges to be able to get a spot at "The Academy" callback rounds in LA. At the end of "The Academy" callback rounds, 10 All-Stars will select one dancer each to move on to the SYTYCD studio and become the top 10 of the season. The top 10 will then compete live each week for the votes. They will be dancing with various styles, performing alongside the All-Stars with famous choreographers. There will be weekly eliminations until the finale.

For those who want to join they must first register online at sytycdauditions.com. According to Yahoo, the last season that featured 8-13 years old category was not with much success, so the show returns to its original age bracket which is for the adult competitors. "So You Think You Can Dance" season 14 will air this summer.
