"Grey's Anatomy" season 14 prepares to say goodbye to another doctor at the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. It has been reported that Dr. Stephanie Edwards will no longer return to her regular role since the actress will be preparing for a new project with HBO.

According to Buddy TV, Jerrika Hinton who has played Dr. Edwards since season 9 of the ABC hospital drama will no longer be back this fall. Hinton will play a role of Ashley, who was adopted by a multi-racial family called the Bishops. This will mark her departure from the series. The first was last spring and when she was cast in a canceled project by Shonda Rhimes, a comedy pilot called "Toast."

In the story details of Dr. Edwards, she will be making her exit. However, it was not yet revealed how. Rhimes, on the other hand, is no longer a stranger in killing off characters and shutting doors for some characters. While viewers will be waiting for Hinton to leave the show, her leaving will also open doors for some guests appearances at the same time.

Further, as Hinton is going to join a new series in HBO, she will also portray a powerhouse character on an online fashion industry. She will be featured struggling in her own identity. The multi-generational and multi-racial drama will be a sure fit for Hinton since this series will also allow her to spread her wings far wider than she has able to do as Dr. Edwards.

This Alan Ball project that she will be part of remained to be untitled although they had already ordered the series already. Hinton, being a well-liked character on "Grey's Anatomy" season 14 will surely make many viewers feel sorry as she leaves. Further, the show hasn't yet revealed further notice whether she'll return for guest appearances and or she'' be written off completely, TV Fanatic reported.
