The phenomenal actress and Oscar winner Nicole Kidman has been the best choice of the director for the "Aquaman" film. She has been reportedly offered to portray the titular role of a superhero's mother in this movie in the making.

According to IGN, Kidman has been the top choice of James Wan for the week with an official offer to finally go out on Monday. In the DC comics, Kidman who's going to play Aquaman's mom Atlanna who is known to be a member of the Atlantean royal family. She has fallen in love to a lighthouse keeper Tom Curry. Their romance resulted into a half-human and half-Atlantean son, Arthur Curry.

If Kidman will finally accept the offered role, "Aquaman" wouldn't be the first DC comic movie that she will be doing. It can be recalled that she also starred in the popular 1995's Batman Forever as Dr. Chase Meridian. She has also been placed into the role of Wonder Woman's mother Queen Hyppolyta, which part went to Connie Nielssen.

On the other hand, some other characters were named. Jason Momoa will be playing the title character in the Warner Bros. DC Entertainment production and which will be directed by Director Wan. The studio is recently preparing for an April production to start in Australia and is also starting to plan out other key members of the cast, as per Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile, the actress is still in negotiation to play as the Aquaman's mother. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is also nearly the choice to play as the villain who was popularly known as the Black Manta. Amber Heard has also been spotted to play as Mera, which is Aquaman's love interest in the film. Other cast will also include Willem Dafoe being the advisor, scientist Dr. Vulko, Patrick Wilson who also starred in "Conjuring" movies will play Orm, a certain villain which happened to be the superhero's half-brother.
