A young girl got the scare of her life when a lion at a zoo snuck up behind her. While the girl may have been frightened, the entire thing was caught in a hilarious video which has gone viral.

The young blonde-haired girl, wearing a pink bandana, was standing in front of the lion exhibit at a French zoo, waiting for her parents to take a picture. Her parents got more than they expected when a lioness creeped right up behind the girl and photo-bombed her.

The girl's parents tell her to turn around and she shrieks in surprise as the animal is right behind her, staring right into her eyes. She runs away laughing.

While the lioness got awfully close to the girl, she wasn't in any danger as the animal was inside a glass enclosure.

The video was posted to Youtube in November 2011, but it is just starting to get attention, with over 32,000 views.

The parent of the little girl wrote in the description: "hungry lion? he seems to be very interested by my little girl... fortunately, there's a glass wall."

Commentors noted that the lion appeared to show friendly behavior, rather than displaying a desire to eat or attack the girl. The animal seems to show a sad expression when the girl runs away.

This isn't the first time that an animal photo-bombed a tourist. In September, a hilarious photo of a stingray photobombing a group of female tourists went viral.

In August, a video of a dolphin humping a female tourist in Brazil caught attention of those on the internet.
