Previous reports noted that the most anticipated and pivotal scenes of the season have already been filmed. Jamie and Claire reunite after being separated for 20 years. They will be reunited in Edinburgh, in a print shop on the Royal Mile where Jamie now works.

According to Daily Record, the cast and crew set up encampment in Holyrood Park, and eager fans have been waiting to take pictures of the actors. Several locations in Edinburgh like Old Town and Tweeddale Court have seen a flurry of "Outlander" activity.

"Outlander" Season 3 is based on Diana Gabaldon's third novel, Voyager, which is set to be released this year, but no specific date has been announced yet. The book features one of the most anticipated scenes where Claire meets Jamie again after so long. After Claire rebuilds her life with newborn Brianna in the 20th Century, she returns through the stones to find the love of her life, Jamie, and reunites with him in the print shop.

Meanwhile, The Scottish Sun reported that on January 30, the "Outlander" will go to Dunure to film around the village's castle for the upcoming season. The location was previously used when Kennedy Park was transformed into the smash sci-fi show's set last year.

Councillor Bill Grant who is responsible for the council's tourism, said that they are delighted the show chose Dunure. The backdrop with the castle plus the rugged coastline is fabulous, he added.

Diana Gabaldon said that the production team sacrificed their holidays to speed up filming. After the Scottish stint ends, cast and crew will then fly to South Africa in May to finish filming. Starz is yet to announce when "Outlander" Season 3 will debut.
