Less than a week after making a surprise appearance at this year's Golden Globe Awards show last Sunday, an all-smiles Brad Pitt made a rare public appearance during a charity event in Malibu, Ca. The 53-year old A-list star attended the fourth annual ROCK4EB! charity event hosted by Epidermolysis Buliosa Medical Research. Zach Galifianakis served as the emcee for the event which aims to promote more awareness about epidermolysis buliosa, a life-threatening and very rare skin disease.

The "Allied" actor took to the stage during the star-studded charity event to introduce Sting and Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell, who also happens to be one Pitt's good friends. Per Entertainment Online, the actor looked to be in "great spirits" while he sat next to Sting onstage. He also posed for a photo with Zach Galifianakis and Chris Cornell, and even interacted with fans during the event.

Pitt was also spotted shaking hands and making other people laugh at the event that featured a who's who of Hollywood's biggest celebrities, including Kaley Cuoco, Rami Malekk, David Spade, Charlie Hunnam, Garrett Hedlund, Scott Foley, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Pitt's last appearance prior to the charity benefit was last Sunday during the Golden Globes.

He received a loud ovation from those in attendance as he presented the film "Moonlight", which was produced by his company Plan B Entertainment, and won the award for best drama at the Golden Globes. A day later, he and his estranged wife Angelina Jolie released a joint statement saying they have reached an agreement to handle their divorce privately and were working to reconcile their family, as reported by People Magazine.

The "Fight Club" star has been keeping a low profile ever since Jolie filed for divorce last September after two years of marriage and 12 years together. The estranged spouses currently have a voluntary temporary custody agreement in place which allows Brad to have supervised visits with his children.
