LG Electronics recently posted a video teaser about their next flagship device. The video shows New Yorkers describing what they want in a phone, and it ends with a launch month - February 2017.

According to CNET, the teaser is definitely talking about the LG G6, which is said to be launched during next month's Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, which will kick off on February 27.  The video hinted that G6 will have a large screen, a smaller body and it's going to be water-resistant.

The Verge reported that the G6 will have a 5.7-inch screen, and the aspect ratio would be 18:9 - the industry's first. The emphasis of the new phone will be screen-to-body ratio, which LG did successfully for their G2 model. G6 will also have a wide-angle camera, just like the LG G5 and the V series, and resolution will be 2880x1440 pixels.

The video also showed that the phone will be easy to use with just one hand, and can fit into the pocket easily. Not much of the specs are known, but some reports say that the phone will come with the Snapdragon 835 chipset, 6 GB of RAM, a curved glass back, and wireless charging.

For LG's G6, bezels would be trimmed away, similar to Xiaomi's almost bezel-less phone.  G6 is said to have an edge over bezel-rich phones like the Sony Xperia XZ, or LG's own 5.3-inch G5, which came out last year.  According to LG Display, the bezels required by its new panel are 10 percent smaller on the sides and 20 percent smaller at the top.

LG Display also said that there will be improved power by consumption, but it is not yet specified as to what baseline they compared that to.  The company also said that G6 will have a 10 percent improvement in transmittance - meaning, it will have better outdoor visibility.
