"Charmed" reboot news has circulated lately and it seems that the 1990's show is riding the trend of reboots like the "X-Files" and "Fuller House." When news that the show about witches will be revived, the original cast members have their individual reactions.
Holly Marie Combs tweeted her reaction saying, "We wish them well." An hour later, Alyssa Milano shared her reaction saying, "#Charmed fans! There are no fans like you. You're the best of the best." Milano's tweet was followed by an Instagram post showing a photo of her with boyfriend Billy Zane when he appeared on "Charmed" in 2005.
The CW has shared with Huffington Post that the reboot is now in the development stage. It will be "reimagined" which seems to convey that the original Halliwell sisters will no longer be in the revived version. The original stars include Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs, Shannen Doherty and Rose McGowan. Back in 2013, news of a reboot has already surfaced but the stellar cast did not seem to like the idea.
According to Screen Rant, the original story revolves around the three Halliwell sisters who are all witches. Piper, Prue, and Phoebe Halliwell have magical powers that they use to fight evil elements. They have villainous enemies from the Underworld. They have the "Power of Three" which are their combined powers is what they use as their weapon.
This time, "Jane the Virgin" writers are working on the storyline -- Jessica O'Toole, Jennie Snyder, and Amy Rardin. "Charmed" reboot is about three girls who total strangers are named Paige, Annie, and Tina in the 1970's era. The original cast has yet to know whether they will reprise their roles or not. The pilot for the reboot will be for one hour as ordered by CW.
