"Passengers," a film directed by Morten Tyldum, is a movie about certain human beings travelling 120 years into space in order to populate and reside into a new planet. In this movie, humans have been traveling for 30 years in the journey wherein one husks opens mysteriously and sentencing the inhabitant to death which was played by Jim (Chris Patt), as per Gizmodo reviews.

In the movie, there will be challenges that the characters will be facing and the audience should wait to watch about. One of the lead casts portrayed by Jim was lonely in the entire travel and, the he chooses to wake up another passenger in the person of Aurora, who was portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence. The problem in the movie begins right after Aurora was awakened by Jim. Right then, it will be expected that there will be changes in the storyline of the movie where Aurora will make a decision same as to with Jim, Gizmodo added.

Due to this, "Passengers" marked a true phenomenal hit even during the holidays. It was on the second week of release when the movie got ticket sales of about $20.7 million over the Christmas holidays, Entertainment reported. This Morten Tyldum-directed movie has finished its debut show last weekend with over $15 million in ticket sales with only $10 million ticket budget. The expected blockbuster movie was able to held steadily its sales throughout the entire week.

Along with other Rogue movies, "Passengers" ticket sales rises up undoubtedly which has been one of the top grossing films ever recorded for the year 2016. New Year's holiday has afforded a lot of Americans to visit and watch the movie.

The movie has moved its total haul of over $66 million while Rogue: A Star Wars Story holds firm on top on the domestic chart for the third week.
