Google, the world'st most popular search engine, released the 2016's most frequently asked travel questions. This year, a lot of people are asking: "Where is Bali?"

Bali is an Indonesian province and island famous for its cultural treasures, beautiful landscapes and beaches, and amazing food. According to Travel+Leisure, Bali is located southeast of Jakarta and almost due north of Perth, Australia. It is also one of the top destinations for 2016. 

The Star said that American web users are taking particular interest in Bali, and for a good reason. It is home to beautiful temples, especially the Besakih Temple, or the "Mother Temple."  It is the largest of all the Balinese temples and definitely one of the most beautiful.

One cannot miss the Bali Safari and Marine Park. It is the island's largest animal theme park and home to over 60 species. If you want to see elephants, the Elephant Safari is for you. It is located in the village of Taro and it offers visitors the chance to get up close and personal with these peaceful giants.

Balinese cuisine is a variety of spices, blended with the fresh vegetables, meat and fish. It is a demonstration of indigenous traditions, which Bali is known for.  Indonesian cuisine, like Chinese and Indian also influences Balinese food. Rice is a staple in Balinese cuisine and is almost always accompanied with vegetables, meat and seafood. Since Bali is inhabited mostly by Hindus, beef is rarely consumed.
