Denver Nuggets coach George Karl has reached a huge achievement in terms of coaching NBA players. With more than 1,000 wins on his belt and 21 playoff appearances, he has created a record as one of the top coaches in NBA history.

Karl was an NBA player for the San Antonio Spurs from 1973 to 1978. After his retirement as a player, he was an assistant coach for the same team. He would then coach the Montana Golden Nuggets from 1980 to 1983.

He would then proceed to be recognized as one of the great coaches as he received the 2013 season's NBA Coach of the Year Award. Since joining the Denver Nuggets as head coach, he has been credited to one of Nuggets' most successful eras.

Recently, George Karl has written a memoir of all his experiences as a coach. His book is titled Furious George as he has a reputation of being a brutally honest and intense coach. What he wrote on the book was considered by readers as something they expected to hear. However, some of the players he talked about were offended by his remarks.

"Carmelo was a true conundrum for me in the six years I had him." was one of the offending remarks on the book. George Karl was attributed to the growth of now New York Knick's star Carmelo Anthony, when Anthony was still playing for the nuggets.

George Karl added that "He was the best offensive player I ever coached. He was also a user of people, addicted to the spotlight and very unhappy when he had to share it."

When Carmelo Anthony was asked for a statement about the remarks about him, he replied "I just hope that he finds happiness in what he's doing. His book, hopefully, will bring him happiness." Which he later added that he might have more to say if he were to write his own book book.
