Jason Momoa has a chance to add another iconic character in his resume. Momoa, who starred as Khal Drogo in "Game of Thrones," will portray the title role in the upcoming "Aquaman" movie. Patrick Wilson reunites with "Conjuring 2" director James Wan to play the villain Orm, a.k.a. Ocean Master.

The Variety reports that Patrick Wilson has been selected to portray the lead antagonist if the DC comic adaptation, "Aquaman." Wilson will star opposite Jason Momoa as the evil Ocean Master, "Aquaman's" human half-brother.

Patrick Wilson, speaking with ABC News Radio, explains that the lure of the "Aquaman" is that the title character "hasn't been overexposed on screen." Wilson also talked about his reunion with director James Wan with whom he has worked with four times in the past.

In the said interview, Patrick Wilson shared his excitement in meeting Jason Momoa who shot to fame after he portrayed the Dothraki Lord, Khal Drogo, in the massive success HBO mini-series "Game of Thrones." Wilson reveals that he has been a "huge fan even from the first episode of 'Game of Thrones'." With Momoa playing "Aquaman," Patrick Wilson says Jason Momoa is "gonna be fantastic."

The "Aquaman" movie will showcase Jason Momoa's Arthur Curry who discovered that he is the heir to the throne of Atlantis, a powerful underwater kingdom. Arthur Curry, a.k.a. "Aquaman," will be caught between a surface world ravaging the sea and the people of Atlantis who are about to take action against the surface dwellers. Will Arthur Curry take sides? Will "Aquaman" lead his people to war against the humans?

"Aquaman" will also star Amber Heard opposite Jason Momoa as Mera, as the title character's love interest. Peter Safran is credited as a producer with Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, and Rob Cowan set as executive producers. "Aquaman" is slated for release on October 5, 2018.

Meanwhile, fans will have their first look at "Aquaman" in another DC comic adaptation, "Justice League." "Aquaman" joins a group of heroes to defend the Earth against a seemingly undefeatable threat. "Justice League" will hit theaters on November 16, 2017.
