To those who are still mourning over the end of "Stranger Things," Netflix may just have something to sate your sci fi hunger.

Netflix has recently released the teaser for an upcoming miniseries called "The OA." Starring writer/producer/actor Brit Marling, the show revolves around the story of a blind girl (Prairie Johnson) who went missing as a child and returning after seven years.

When Praire went missing, she was blind. She, however, returned with a restored sight. The story, according to Vanity Fair, would most likely revolve around the mystery of her disappearance."I didn't disappear," Prairie says in the teaser. "I was present for all of it."

The "OA" will reportedly be released globally this coming Friday, December 16, 2016. Marling will be producing with Zal Batmangli (who is also the director). The two have collaborated on "The Sound of My Voice" and "The East."

Some of the cast members include Emory Cohen("Brooklyn"), Scott Wilson ("The Walking Dead"), Phyllis Smith ("The Office"), and Jason Isaacs ("Harry Potter" films).

In an interview with Stylist, Marling said that she loved "Stranger Things" and she didn't expect that "The OA" would reach the Netflix audience.

She adds: "The thing that's delicious about a mystery is the less you know, the more delicious it is. We spent a couple of years developing and solving all the answers to the riddles so it felt natural to protect the audience so they have a genuine sense of not knowing."

Meanwhile, the show has also posted teasers on its official Instagram account. One of the posts read: "This is a dream but you're wide awake," written repeatedly.

The show will have a total of eight one-hour episodes, and will be produced by Plan B and Anonymous Content.
