Adidas is on a roll with their latest venture in technology. After their recent release of the Futurecraft Biofabric and Ultra Boost Uncaged Parley, the company is continuing its streak with their advanced technology initiative called 3D Runner.

Adidas' leap into the future is brought by its Futurecraft team and their Speedfactory, which is a state-of-the-art industrial plant. 3D Runner was first launched during the Rio Olympics when it was given to Adidas-sponsored athletes who snagged some medals.

Basically, 3D Runner boasts the black Primeknit upper and a 3D engineered midsole to enhance comfortability, flexibility, and durability. The highly limited sneaker is just scratching the surface of what Adidas is leading to. According to Business Insider, the company is looking forward to the future of customizable shoes based on the person's running style, foot shape, performance need, and personal preference. This innovation is putting Adidas in the forefront compared to their competitors.

This technology is so cutting edge that a customer can walk in and out of their store with a specialized 3D-printed running shoe to achieve the full running performance and experience. According to Highsnobiety, registration and reservation are needed to score this through Adidas Confirmed app, which is available for iOs and Android and waiting time is usually two days after reservation. In the meantime, 3D Runner is only available at their New York flagship store. However, fans from London and Tokyo can also grab these on December 15 until supply lasts.

It retails at $333 for every pair, which is not that bad if it will improve a person's overall running performance. Take note that these shoes are very limited, so make sure to reserve through the Adidas Confirmed app as early as now. Do you think this is the future of sneakers?
