With a lot of the more known car manufacturers located in Europe, car rental companies here promise exciting options. You can start your European Road Trip on a luxury car or an electric car or something a little quirkier. Here are some tips and some car options for your European car rental.

Companies may have differing rates in different countries, so choosing a trusted brand and then tracking which country it is cheapest to rent from is a great way of saving money. 2. Smart Cars - Great for navigating the tighter backstreets of France, Italy and Spain, smart cars are a great way to get around. The Fiat 500 Cabriolet is the quintessential smart car and is listed as a mini-category vehicle. 3. Luxury Cars - Go out into Montecarlo in style. Auto Europe offers some of the most high-end European cars. 4. Family-Friendly - The Citroen Cactus is unique to Europe and features interchangeable Airbump panels on its sides. These black panels on the cars sides protect it from minor bumps and scratches and protect users from repair fees. The Opel Vivaro is also a great option and can seat nine people comfortably plus luggage. 5. Need For Speed - The Mercedes AMG GTS coupe and the Lamborghini Huracan V10 are available for rent and are the perfect balance of powerful engines and fine Italian craftsmanship. The fastest car for rent is the Ferrari 488 Spider, which can take riders from 0-60mph in a matter of three seconds. In addition, this sports car features a Retractable Hard Top so you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the city or the countryside.
