After two years of marriage, Naya Rivera files for divorce from husband Ryan Dorsey and seeks primary custody of their son. The "Glee" star filed the documents at the Los Angeles County Court on November 15.

Naya married Dorsey after her engagement got called off with rapper Big Sean, who later on dated singer Ariana Grande, which also subsequently led to a split. A lot of people were surprised when the actress decided to marry Dorsey since only a few people really knew they were dating, much less getting married. However, LA Times published that the two already knew each other for four years before they unexpectedly exchanged vows in 2014.

Naya Rivera and Ryan Dorsey share a 14-month-old son Josey, who they both prioritize and will continue to co-parent for their child's best interest, according to a joint statement published in US Weekly. If the court grants Naya primary custody, Dorsey will only get visitation rights along with it. The two also asked for the public's respect for their decision, as well as their privacy regarding the matter of separation.

Naya Rivera, who published "Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes, and Growing Up in September", seems to be better at this situation compared to her breakup with Big Sean in 2014. In her book, she chronicles how the rapper had an affair with Ariana Grande and how she found their wedding was off, the same time everyone did. Adding, not only did their engagement was an obvious halt but also their one-year relationship.

Although the reason for the divorce has not been disclosed, Rivera and Dorsey seem to be in amicable terms. Comparably, Big Sean had the same friendly split from Ariana Grande eight months after their relationship went public. Despite the news about her divorce, Naya is maturely handling it, which appears to be a reflection of her memoir and her realizations inked for life.
