"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" actor, Eddie Redmayne revealed on an Uproxx interview that he auditioned for the role of Kylo Ren in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens". Redmayne admitted that his audition for the popular franchise went "catastrophically bad" that happened two years ago.

"They gave me like a "Star Trek" scene-or something from "Pride and Prejudice." It was one of those films. "With films that top secret, they don't give you the actual lines. So they give you a scene from "Pride and Prejudice," but then they tell you you're auditioning for the baddie. If you're me, you then put some ridiculous voice on." he said on that interview saying what he did for the audition, as noted by the Variety article.

"That was a really hilarious moment. Because it was Nina Gold- who I have to thank a lot because she's cast me in several films-and she was just sitting there and I was trying again and again with different versions of my kind of 'koohh paaaah" [Darth Vader breathing sound] voice,"the actor continued. The actor revealed his numerous attempts to achieve a villainous character and eventually the coveted part went to "Girls" actor Adam Driver.

Redmayne shared what the casting director asked him, "And after like ten shots she's like, "You got anything else?" I was like, "No.."

The 34 year old actor may not be able to get that role but still he had landed meaty parts on critically-acclaimed films like "The Theory Of Everything," where he won an Oscar on 2015 as Stephen Hawking and "The Danish Girl" as Lili Elbe where he scored an Academy Award nomination. On his most recent endeavor,a "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," a spinoff to the Harry Potter universe, he plays the wizard, Newt Scamander that adds up on the list of his notable roles. That film will be showing in theaters on November 18. Below is the film trailer of "Fantastic Beasts."
