The level of Chinese tourist in Australia had been decreasing so there is a need to upgrade the quality of their services and accommodation.

According to the China National Tourism Administration, Thailand is in the highest spot for the Chinese tourist while Vietnam in seventh and Russia is in the 13th based on Stuff.

"Five-star hotels look too old, service is not so good and prices are high for what you get," said Kevin Xu, general manager of Grand City Tours, which was known as the biggest Chinese travel agent in Australia.

"In other parts of Asia, hotels are new and service is excellent. There are also not enough four-star hotels in the Sydney and Melbourne CBDs and in high season they increase prices a lot," as he stated in Stuff report.

The country needs to improve their hotels and resorts in order to be held as the world's best.

China, is the world's biggest spender on tourism; thus, Australia needs some progress on hotel capacity to capitalize on China.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of casino and hotel group Star Entertainment Group, Matt Bekier, "We can do a lot more. If you look at Australia's market share in the flow of Chinese tourists, we're losing market share."

"Capacity is a big deal. Where do they go? We don't have the hotel rooms. There's just not enough capacity here," he added in his statement in Stuff.

As per New South Wales Premier Mike Braid, one of the speakers at the Sydney China Business Forum, advised that, "The next time you see a Chinese tourist, give them a smile."

"The Chinese ... are the perfect business because they like to stay for a long time, they also like to spend a lot of money," Mr. Baird said.

According to News.com.au, there is a total of 1.1 million visitors from China, which is 23 percent from last year, visited Australia this year said Gareth Evans, chief executive officer of Qantas International and Freight.
