Prince left numerous unreleased tracks when he died abruptly, and reports have been making circling that the hip hop titan, Jay Z, made a bid to buy the said albums.

The rapper-turned-tycoon is said to have flown Prince's sister Tyka in an effort to "snap up all the unreleased Prince music," which is unearthed in the late singer's vault at Paisley Park in April, Billboard published. Adding, L.Londell McMillan an estate advisor, said, "no knowledge of any discussions in that report," and emphasized "there is no sale [of Prince's music assets], and those responsible for the assets are not in discussions with anyone regarding a sale."

Jay Z was so eager to get his hands on the albums that he even met with Prince's sister, Tyka Nelson and her husband Maurice Phillips, and flew them out to New York City to further discuss his $40 million offer. Billboard also posted that Jay Z was interested in "the overall deal for streaming rights," which would benefit his music streaming service, Tidal.

However, it isn't a done deal yet, since Tyka needs to get a unanimous decision from the Purple Rain singer's brother and sisters, as well as the trust managing Prince's estate, MailOnline reported.

Billboard detailed that Warner will be the first to release Prince's music called Prince4Ever, which is coming out on November 22. The 40-track greatest hits collection will come out with a deluxe edition of the singer's bestselling records, and an album on unreleased music.

Prince died on April 21 because of an accidental overdose, and the artist has no written will for his assets such as his estate and unearthed music. This left no direct beneficiary, but representatives for the singer's estate appointed Bremer Trust as the provisional administrator. Later on, advisers regarding Prince's music were chosen to be McMillian, who was Prince's manager, and Charles Koppelman, who is a former chairman of EMI Records, the site added.
