Youtube series "Carmilla" will now become a full-length feature film. The lesbian comedy is based on the 19th century gothic vampire novella of the same title, but for the web series, it is set in modern day. The movie will premiere in the fall of 2017, and the original cast will be reprising their roles.

"Carmilla" has been running on Youtube for two years now, and it has garnered quite the fan base. According to a report by Variety, it has gotten over 50 million views and 250,000 fans on social media.

The show's fans also call themselves " creampuffs," which is reference from one of the lines said on the show.

The company behind the hit web series, Smokebomb Entertainment, decided on this move so that the show could expand its viewership and fan base. Jay Bennett, senior VP of creative and innovation, said that they would love to explore other formats and platforms especially since the series already has a built-in fan base.

The company will also be producing the full-length feature film. Smokebomb also announced that this is just the start of their huge plans for the cult sensation. After the film, there will be a stage show, tv series, and even a jewelry line.

Gizmodo reports that the film will be set five years after the web series has ended. The plot remains a mystery, but co-creator and writer Jordan Hall will be taking over writing duties for the major project.

Stars of the web series Elise Bauman and Natasha Negovanlis will still be playing lead duo Laura and Carmilla.

While the movie's premiere date is still far away, the creampuffs can now pre-order the movie online at Carmilla's Vimeo page. They'll be getting exclusive content like bloopers and signed scripts alongside their pre-orders.

"Carmilla" the web series can still be accessed on KindaTV's Youtube channel. In the meantime, check out the teaser trailer for the full-length movie adaptation:
