Ben Affleck, in almost like a lost-for-words moment, gives the upcoming Batman solo project a title too straight-forward it sounded so elementary. In an interview with The Associated Press, the 44 year-old actor said that the movie he will be directing and starring in will be called "The Batman", at least for now.

"The Batman" Ben Affleck edition first made appearance in this year's critically panned yet commercially successful "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" in which he played opposite Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel. The titular character then made a surprise cameo appearance in "Suicide Squad" along with a post-credit scene signaling his yet again involvement in the upcoming "Justice League" movie.

While the other films for DC's expanded universe had very minimal titles also, Wonder Woman for example, Affleck's quip for "The Batman" holds no ground as the character needs no introduction anymore of which the title suggests. They can even name the movie "Man in a Half Mask: Voice Slightly Distorted" and the people could still identify it as a Batman film.

Despite massive criticisms of how the new Batman era was portrayed in "Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice", the actor was happy of the movie's outcome and added that "(it's) the biggest hit of my career" which is actually true. If it wasn't the case, he wouldn't have agreed to reappear again in "Suicide Squad" and soon in "Justice League", even more so to accept the directing at the same time acting job for the next Batman film. Given the track record of Affleck's work behind the camera though, one can't help but be optimistic of the quality for the Batman solo movie.

The title however isn't final yet, of which Affleck added "that's what we're going with now" so let's just keep the prayer circle active.
