The iPhone 5 is much anticipated, and therefore, much talked about. The information out there is a mix of fact and fiction. In fact, the Huffington Post has a slideshow of iPhone 5 rumors. Here is some of the gossip surrounding Apple's latest smartphone model.

Information Week reports that photos of the new iPhone have been leaked from Apple.pro. The pictures show "a device that is very similar to the iPhone 4 and 4S in terms of overall look and design. The front panel clearly shows that the device will have a larger display than the current iPhones." Apple's smartphones have had a display that measures 3.5 inches up until now, while most other companies have created phones with displays ranging from 4.3 - 5.3 inches. Though the new iPhone screen will be larger, it will still be on the smaller side when compared to Apple's competitors.

Other improvements to the divice include a better version of Siri and other changes to the phone's appearance. According to CMV Live, "Rumours suggest that the new iPhone will offer a metallic chassis although some reports are suggesting a new ceramic shell. Other reports include a new teardrop shape and a curved glass display."

As far as information regarding a release date, Examiner.com reports that the earliest iPhone fans can hope to purchase the iPhone 5 would be in "late summer 2012," which might mean next month. Yet, according to Enstarz.com, Apple has not confirmed any specific release date.

To see which information is true, we'll have to wait until the iPhone hits the market. For those who crave the latest smartphone available at the moment, there's the Samsung Galaxy S3 or -- for Apple devotees -- the iPhone 4S.
