Pictures of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enjoying their (supposedly private) honeymoon in Seychelles' North Island have been leaked to a woman's magazine.

Although the cover is beautiful -- Kate looks stunning (and possibly too thin) in a black bikini and William wears colorful board shorts and a smile -- it is seen as a betrayal by the Royal Family, who specifically requested that the honeymoon be a private affair for the couple, especially after such a public wedding.

The pictures were snapped over a year ago, even though media outlets in Britain agreed not to send phatographers once the location of the newlyweds' trip was known. The Australian tabloid Women's Day bought the pictures, but has not commented on the price. Yet, Jo Piazza is a celebrity business journalist and he told Yahoo Shine, "Any shot of them on their honeymoon was going to go for at least half a million, but because Kate is in a bikini I would estimate that this is a million-dollar shot."

The photographer who took the pictures likely used a very long-range lense. Shine reports that in addition to the formally requested media blackout during the honeymoon, Coast Guard patrols and extra security surrounded the couple's $5,000-a-night bungalow to ensure privacy. Yet, the photographer was able to snap at least 16 shots. One appears on the cover of Women's Day, and 15 more are on the inside pages of the tabloid.

the Duke and Duchess are reported to be especially distraught. Shine points out that the media had granted Prince William more privacy than other high-profile celebrities because of how the paparazzi reportedly contributed to the death of his mother, Lady Diana Spencer.

While the Royal Family may be surprised to be seeing the photos printed, Piazza is not. "Someone was going to break it," he said. "Media blackouts rarely work. It was just a matter of who had the most financial incentive."
