On Wednesday, an Instagram post confirmed that Jack Black will join Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in Sony's remake of the adventure fantasy comedy film, Jumanji.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the news about Black was unleashed by Johnson himself, who was already known to be portraying a major role in the movie.

"The Rock" wrote on his Instagram page, "IT'S OFFICIAL: An ol' friend is ready to play in the world of #JUMANJI"...JACK (mf'n) BLACK." "Been a big fan of his work over the years. A brilliant actor who I'm confident will turn in a performance of a lifetime for JUMANJI. (when we reveal his character you'll understand;)."

The semi-retired professional wrestler continued the Instagram post as he also solidified the involvement of the American actor, comedian and producer - Kevin Hart, "In our reimagining of the story of JUMANJI, Jack brings that rare balance of cool with funny and edge with childlike joy. The "Jumanji Breakfast Club" is coming together.. myself, Jack (mf'n) Black and Kevin Hart."

As stated by CNET, Johnson pointed out that Black (famous for his characters in "School of Rock," "Kung Fu Panda" and "Goosebumps") will be a huge addition in the film and can toss in an astonishing performance.

Jumanji remake will be directed by Jake Kasdan ("Bad Teacher" and "Sex Tape") and will be produced by Matt Tolmach.

However, the original "Jumanji" film was famously played by the American actor and comedian - Robin Williams. Sadly, the comedian passed away in 2014.

Johnson stated that in the first Jumanji film, there were three big characters, but the remake they have in mind have five huge roles. And Johnson is so happy seeing his friends setting aside their other projects to be part of the Jumanji world.

The Verge claimed that Jumanji remake will ignite theaters sometime next summer.
