There are times when travelling that you need to take care of your clothes and underwear, especially when they are wet from your swim earlier in the beach or pool. Keeping them wet is definitely a bad idea since it won't smell good and would probably get damaged. Which is why it's a good idea to wash some of them if you have extra time while resting out in the hotel room.

Before you decide to wash your clothes, make sure to prepare a mild detergent and a wide round container where you can wash the clothes. For instance, a plugged sink or tub in your hotel room. With regards to putting a plug on sinks, it's a good idea to bring a plug in case the hotel does not have one. You will also need a place to hang the clothes dry so make sure to wash enough clothes.

1. Fill the sink with warm water and add a few drops of detergent to the water as you fill the sink up.

2. Proceed to adding your clothes into the soapy water and gently swirl them. You will need to separate the white and the colored ones before you do that. It's also advisable to not to bring white clothes at all. Scrub the clothes by rubbing the fabric unto itself in order to remove dirt. If a spot is really dirty, apply detergent directly on the area and scrub it until it disappears.

3. After scrubbing all the clothes, soak and leave them behind for about 5 minutes. It's also a recommended to let the clothes stay soaked for 30 minutes. If the water used when washing appears to be mucky, dispose it and prepare another soapy water.

4. Drain the soapy water from the sink and rinse your clothes under running water. Make sure to remove any sign of detergent or bubbles. Also, don't wring too much as this might damage your clothes.

5. Once you've wrung the clothes dry, take and lay them flat on a towel. Roll the towel and wring even more water from your clothes. This will make your clothes take less time to dry once you hung them.
