Police conducted searches and investigation on the plane's passengers and baggage, but discovered no explosives. Police representative Viktoria Csiszer-Kovacs added that the risk and threat focused on the aircraft company, however declined to name the airline operator.

According to Flightradar24, the grounded plane is flight DE490 worked by Condor Airlines. The A321 plane heading from Berlin's Schoenefeld Airport was diverted to Budapest while in Serbian airspace.

Police stated that the urgent and fast security measures to establish safety have not influenced air terminal traffic, local media reported.

The day before, two France Airplanes traveling to Paris from Washington and Los Angeles were forced to divert to Halifax and Salt Lake City individually because of bomb threats. Security authorities later said that no evidence had been found that would lend credibility to dangers.
