Viral Video - Goblin Shark, Alien of the Deep. The latest discovery off the coast of Australia has given anyone more reasons not to venture into the deep blue sea. Ocean scientists have discovered an "Alien of the Deep." What exactly is this new discovery and are there many more out there?

Off the coast of Eden, which is a town located between Melbourne and Sydney, a fisherman caught quite a catch. Scientists immediately got their hands on the shark, which is currently in the Australian Museum.

The catch is none other than a goblin shark, which measures 4 feet long. This isn't the first goblin shark to be collected by the museum as they have two other specimens, albeit larger in size. For those who wish to see photos of the goblin shark captured, check out the photos here.

So why the name "Alien of the Deep?" Scientists claim the goblin shark hunts for prey on the ocean floor, from 984 to 2,952 feet below the surface of the water. This only means that there are more goblin sharks coasting along the ocean line. Check out the video below and decide if Australian oceans are still one of your beach destinations for the spring break.
