Miss Earth 2014 crown goes to Jamie Herrell from the Philippines. The beautiful candidate was crowned Miss Philippines Earth this past May, where she represented her hometown, Cebu City.

The recent Miss Earth 2014 coronation was held at the UP Theater in Diliman, Quezon City on Saturday night. Anastasia Trusova of Russia won Miss Earth Fire, Maira Alexandra Rodriguez of Venezuela won Miss Earth Water, and Andrea Neu of the USA won Miss Earth Air.

The night kicked off with an upbeat presentation, where the gorgeous contestants wowed the huge crowd as they went on the stage wearing their floaty pink gowns. It was then followed by a video montage that showcased their stay in the Philippines. After the video clip was shown, the program proceeded to announce the pageant's top 16 finalists.

The contestants then took the stage one more time looking absolutely beautiful as they paraded in their swimsuits. The evening gown competition then took place next.

It was after the display of evening gowns that the delegates who made it to the top 8 were announced. The countries that made the cut were Brazil, Mongolia, Slovak Republic, Venezuela, USA, Philippines, Russia, and Spain.

Afterwards, the question and answer portion ensued. The candidates, just like in other prestigious beauty pageants, were faced with multiple challenges, such as language barriers and nerves.

Miss Earth 2014 winner, Herrell, was asked about what she would do, in case she gets the Miss Earth 2014 crown that night, so she could reverse the effects of global warming. She was quick on her wits as she answered quite confidently, "Global warming has been known to be a long, overdue issue. I will use my title to inspire others, help our environment, and we start with the kids. The kids are the people of tomorrow."
