The big picture for the upcoming WWE Survivor Series is now taking shape, and it appears the storyline for this pay-per-view event will plant the seeds for a colossal showdown at Wrestlemania 31 four months from now.

Stake is High for Team Authority: WWE president and Chairman Vince McMahon made a surprise appearance on Monday Night Raw, and nobody thought his presence would think his presence will spice up the upcoming war at Survivor Series on November 23 at Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

The eccentric WWE owner is apparently looking to end the despotic reign of his daughter Stephanie McMahon, son-in-law Triple H, and the Authority after placing a very intriguing stipulation in the traditional Survivor Series 5-on-5 Elimination match.

Now, the Authority has no choice but to win against Team Cena or else Triple H and Step McMahon will lose all the abusive power they currently possess in the WWE Universe.

So far, Cena has just recruited one teammate in Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler, while the Authority has already nominated Money in the Bank holder Seth Rollins as the captain of their team that will also feature Kane. Randy Orton will no longer wrestle for Triple H's stable after he was booted out from the Authority for his rebellious behavior as of late.

Triple H vs. The Rock at Wrestlemania 31: Again, McMahon's declaration of his war against the Authority is expected to trigger a domino effect that will culminate at Wrestlemania in March. According to Lords of Pain, it seems WWE creative department has already bought the idea of the McMahon vs. Authority storyline, a feud that will lead to big showdown between Triple H and the Rock at the Grand Daddy of them All.

"There's speculation from multiple sources that Vince McMahon's return to WWE TV this week could indicate that WWE is going forward with a major WrestleMania storyline that they had planned for this time last year," via Lords of Pain.

"You may remember that WWE had Vince McMahon advertised for some RAW events around this time but he was later pulled and did not appear. The plan was for Vince to return and build a power struggle feud with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon for WrestleMania XXX. At one point, WWE wanted to do Steve Austin vs. Triple H. That feud obviously never happened as the idea was dropped."
