Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio stole the hearts of the world in "Titanic." Their characters, Rose and Jack, respectively, made the world forget that the romance between the two of them was actually not meant to be as the public rooted against the villainous Billy Zane.

It is because of their steamy on-screen chemistry that fans were a bit dismayed when the Kate Winslet and the star of "Wolf of Wall Street" did not end up together in real life. However, according to the actress, their friendship was far too valuable to allow actual romance to happen.

Kate Winslet told Marie Claire UK, "I think the reason that friendship works is because there was never any romantic thing. It's so disappointing for people to hear that, because in the soap opera of the Kate and Leo Story, we fell in love at first sight and had a million snogs. But, actually, we never did."

She added, "He always saw me as one of the boys. I've never really been a girly girl. We needed each other to lean on because we were very young and working all kinds of crazy bloody hours and it was a shock to the system."

DiCaprio was present when Kate Winslet tied the knot with Ned Rocknroll back in 2012. In fact, the "Django Unchained" actor was even the one who gave her away during the wedding ceremony. Her name was all over the headlines because of the marriage. She made the headlines once again when she gave birth to their first child, Bear Blaze. According to the actress, Bear came from a very close friend, while Blaze was born out of the way she and her husband met.

Kate Winslet told Ellen DeGeneres in an interview, "He [my friend] was very much a bear. He was everybody's shoulder to cry on. He was a big bear hug. He was just this great figure in my life." She then added, "Bear's second name is Blaze because my husband and I met in a house fire while vacationing at Richard Branson's Caribbean home, basically."
