Chris Pratt workout for the hit block buster film, "Guardians of the Galaxy" certainly took a lot of dedication and discipline. In just six months, the actor managed to lose 60 pounds that made him transition from flab to fab in time for the film. So what exactly is Chris Pratt's workout and diet plan?

Thanks to the help of Duffy Gaver, Chris Pratt's personal trainer, and Phil Goglia, his nutritionist, losing 60 pounds in 6 months was easy for the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star. Of course, Chris Pratt's hard work during the intense training was also an important factor.

"Chris' athleticism is amazing, he is incredibly disciplined and his work ethic is phenomenal. He isn't the client you have to push; He is the type of client you have to pull down. If you were to walk into the gym when he was training, you would have thought for sure you've got a guy getting ready for the NFL Combine," stated Duffy Gaver.

Chris Pratt's workout was done in five months, which started in February 2013. The actor would engaged in four to six sessions a week but also added his own extra sessions. The first two months of Chris Pratt's workout was mainly on body building. By the next two months, it included conditioning alongside body building. Finally, by the fifth month, Chris Pratt's workout focused on conditioning which involved mountain biking, cardio circuits and swimming. Calisthenics, weightlifting and the treadmill where also included in the workout.

In addition to Chris Pratt workout, the actor also engaged in a healthy diet plan. This mostly involved wholesome foods like nuts, vegetables and fruits. Apart from a healthy diet, Chris Pratt also steered clear from alcoholic beverages, which mainly just accumulates fats inside the body that's hard to burn. The result of a five month intense workout paired with a healthy diet plan was clearly visible in Chris Pratt's film, "Guardians of the Galaxy."
