Two semifinals spots taken, two more to go! FIBA World Cup of Basketball continues on Friday with intriguing matchup between FIBA Americas powerhouse Brazil and European hoops giant Serbia at 12:00 noon (Eastern Time), while France and Spain will rekindle their rivalry at 4:00 p.m at Palacio de Deportes de la Comunidad in Madrid.

Brazil vs. Serbia (Results / Box Scores)

Brazil is coming off a masterful 85-66 victory over South American rival Argentina to punch their way to the quarterfinal round of the FIBA World Cup. Neto scored 21 points in the game to lead the Brazilians' in scoring while Cleveland Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao had 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the match.

Serbia, meanwhile, stunned everybody when they upset world's no.5 Greece (90-72) in the round-of-16. Phoenix Suns draft pick Bogdan Bogdanović scored 21 points while Nemanja Bjelica added 10 rebounds to help Serbia beat the previously unbeaten Greeks.

Serbia and Brazil already met in the group stages with the South Americans taking a 81-73 victory. However, the quarterfinal meeting between these two elite squads is expected to be more intense with one false move could lead to a team's complete breakdown.

France vs. Spain (Results / Box Scores)

France and Spain are figured in another rivalry match, but this time, the winners will go two wins away from the gold while the losers will see their campaign come to an end in Madrid.

The Frenchmen defeated Spain in last year's Euro Basket, thanks to presence of San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker, who was named MVP in the tournament. However, Spain proved that France was helpless without the speedy playmaker, as the Gasol Brothers (Pau and Marc) propelled their team to a dominant 88-64 win in the Group Stages.

France secured a quarterfinal seat by edging Croatia 69-64 in a toe-to-toe match last Saturday, while Spain had an easier time against Senegal 89-56 in the round-of-16.
