Bear walking upright video showcases what appears to be a real black bear walking upright in the midst of a human neighbourhood. Though many New Jersey considered the bear walking upright video believable and they think they've just witnessed something extremely awesome - a real human-like bruin -one expert in the state doesn't share the opinion of many.

There appears to be two versions of the bear walking upright video which have surfaced around the net. In both videos, it shows the same bear wandering around a New Jersey neighbourhood. Both versions of the bear walking upright video are now going viral.

One bear walking upright video was posted by an Ian Bohman on YouTube.

It was captioned, 'This bear was seen at 5:50am on 8/4/14 in Jefferson Township, NJ.'

Apparently, many are thinking that this bear walking upright video might just be real. However, Larry Ragonese, a spokesman for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, digresses.

According to FOX6's sister station, PIX11 in New York, Ragonese said he has watched this bear walking upright video and he thinks it looks "sketchy" at best. It seems that despite many believing the bear walking upright video to be real, Ragonese is not convinced.

According to PIX11 News at 10, Ragonese said Thursday that it is indeed hard to 'tell if it's a real bear or if it's photoshopped or a person in a costume.'

One bear walking upright video recorded in the past month was from Jefferson Township, while the other bear walking upright video was from neighboring Oak Ridge, both showing what appears to be a bipedal bruin, wandering around the neighborhoods.

boston.com reports that NJ.com has asked its readers if they believe the bear walking upright video or if they were simply hoaxes.

What might have had many thinking the bear walking upright video was real was the fact that in a report by The Daily Mail, people commented on the video saying they had seen the same thing that morning.

The Daily Mail reported, 'Although bears are known to walk on their back legs, Mr Bohman suspects that the bear he saw was forced to move that way because of an injury.'

In one bear walking upright video, a voice is heard echoing YouTube users' comments. Many users apparently think that the bear's front paw, which appeared as if flopped in front, was injured. The injury thus forced the bear to use its uninjured back legs to walk.

Though that might seem a fair explanation to the bear walking upright video, Ragonese is still adamant that it may not be real. He said that that explanation was a stretch.

According to Fox 6 Now, Ragonese said the creature in the bear walking upright video looks to be walking too erect and too well. He added that although it is true that bears can stand up on their hind legs, each bruin's ability however differs from one bear to another.

Ragonese said, 'A bear on its hind legs would not be walking as smoothly as (this creature) seems to be.'

The other bear walking upright video was posted on Aug. 5 by a John Leyden on Facebook, a video which his neighbor allegedly took:

Meanwhile, both bear walking upright videos have caught the attention of many and easily garnered tens of thousands of views. The bear walking upright video has also been picked up by countless media outlets.

Despite the popularity of the both bear walking upright videos, Rangonese warns the public to be careful about treating the footage as a real occurrence and to not get too carried away.

Bear walking upright video might seem believable, but Ragonese said, 'It's amazing with YouTube and social media how things that may not be become news stories. I caution everybody to be a bit careful.'
